Nuovafil manufactures and distributes a complete line of concrete fibers for use as reinforcement in cementicious materials; across many different markets and applications. All manufacturing is in compliance with “Standard specification for fiber reinforced concrete and shot-crete.” Drastically reduces “call-backs” due to cracking in Ready Mix C.O.D. business.
Concrete reinforced with MacroFil will have three-dimensional reinforcing with enhanced flexural toughness, impact and abrasion resistance and fibres bonds with concrete to help dissipate the energy and carry the load beyond the concrete’s original design strength and capability.
Major Applications after mixing with concrete
- Shotcreting (Plastering) of Tunnels
- Sturdy Flooring for Air Fields, Heavy Machinery factories, Warehouses, Heavy tanks, trucks, machineries, aircraft storage places. It can also be used in construction of flooring in commercial & residential buildings.
- Industrial & Commercial Flooring : Hardstands, Engineered Slabs, Flooring Composite Slab, Driveways, Tilt-Up Walls Slab on Grade.
- Tunneling & Mining : Portal stabilization, Ventilation Shaft, Shotcrete Lining, Segment Lining, Invert Slab, Roadways.
- Civil : Concrete pavements, Swimming Pools, Parking Lots, Basement car park, Driveways, Concrete Footpaths, Concrete Roadways, Slab on Grade.
- Precast & Paving : Precast Blocks, Precast Paving Slabs, Precast Boundary Walls, Precast Units, Precast Concrete Stairs, Precast Tunnels
- Marine Structures : Foreshore Protection, Culverts, Canals, Marinas Wharts & Jetties, Artificial Reefs, Retention Basins, Retaining Walls, Offshore platforms, Bridges & Piers.
Commercial & Ecological Benefits
- Lesser Costs: Poly fibres are 40-50% cheaper
- Corrosion & Embitterment free
- Lesser Carbon footprints
- Better Workability
- More Durability
- Lesser wear & tear of equipment’s
- Better Crack & Fire resistance
- Light weight & Easier handling
- Significantly improves shrinkage and
temperature crack control. - Potential for increases in joint spacing.
- Unlike steel, doesn’t stain concrete with rust
marks. - Safer and Lighter to handle than Steel
